Toronto, Ontario, June 9, 2014: AIP Asset Management (“AIP”), a Toronto-based financial services company, has been nominated for Ernst & Young’s 2014 EY Entrepreneur of the Year. AIP currently operates 2 divisions. First is an alternative asset management division which runs a performance driven Hedge Fund that is offered to accredited investors, institutional clients and wealthy family offices. The AIP Global Marco Fund has a relatively open mandate which allows us to quickly exploit market inefficiencies and has historically generated alpha from investing in distressed debt and special situation investments.

We believe we have a best in class team with over 25 years of cumulative experience in the financial industry. We are composed of CFA’s, MBA’s and accountants who have teamed up with some of the best lawyers and institutions to exploit investment opportunities and generate higher risk adjusted returns for our clients.

Our second division leverages the team and the expertise used to manage our alternative asset division and provides institutional quality advice and protection to average middle class Canadian investors. We call this division, SMA or Separately Managed Accounts. Traditionally, theses services were historically out of reach to the average investors because the minimum account sizes were north of $1 million. Through technological and operational improvements, AIP’s SMA platform is able to provide a low cost, professionally managed account for the average investor.
